Club Nights
The club meets on the last Thursday of each month when we run a range of activities and more often than not, are delighted to have an expert demonstrator who is able to show us their skills and offer help and assistance.
June 2026
This was one of our "hands on" meetings. Members, particularly novices, were divided up into groups each with a lathe. They were then given a standard piece of wood and asked to work together to decide and design something that they would then make in an hour. We had five visitors who all participated and helped to produce a range of unusual objects.
May 2026
We were delighted to welcome Mick Hanbury who demonstrated not only his turning skills but also gave the audience lots of useful tips and ideas on how to introduce colour and texture into their platter designs.
April 2026
This month Katie Armstrong was our guest demonstrator. Katie entertained us all making an unusual square lidded bowl.
